Ron has been playing since he was only 12 years old and performing on stage since he was only 14. A self-taught musician, Ron has been heard in Warren County, Iowa, bands since the 1970s. He played guitar and sang for Warren County Line and Con Brio. Con Brio reunited for a year in 2009 and were honored to be inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After Con Brio first split in the mid-70s, his band mates went into careers in insurance and opened their own businesses. Ron was fortunate to continue doing what he loved and remained a musician.

Ron lives in central Iowa with his wife Dawn on a peaceful acreage. His love of nature and the pride he takes in their home and land is evident, and it's the perfect setting for the inspiration of his own songs, such as In The Morning, Sunrise and Fire Glow.
